So here we are. It’s almost the turn of the year and things are still up in the air. Are we in a recession? I still have not heard a definitive answer on that one. Some of us are looking for a new public enemy number one. The thrill of bashing Bush style politics has lost its luster. What is an angry American to do? If we watch or read the news one would believe the world is going to stop spinning if we do not find a quick solution to the global financial crisis. How faithless have we become?
Speaking for myself, I can not allow these negative influences around me to effect the positive future I believe we still have before us. If we place our material wants before the basic needs of our minds then we are destined to become caught up in the turmoil. We need a strong foundation to lay ourselves on. By foundation I am referring to the essential existence of a strong desire and will to succeed. Do not believe the hype! As more things get convoluted and unsure, opportunity will surface for those with their ears and eyes open. New billionaires’ will me made, old traditions will be broken, new works of art will be created and sadly not all men will rise to the occasion.

Kanye West is the Voice of What?

Kanye West is now the self proclaimed voice of "this" generation. Since he really does not sing and from the looks of the above picture I line him up with some of the great rappers or the 80's. I happen to greatly disagree with him. Sadly enough, this is another great example of how money and the perceived power he believes he has can go to one's head. I think the voice of this generation is yet to be determined. Ideas anyone?

May we have our check Please?

Here is recent picture of GM execs. discussing how much money they can extract from their customers (who also happen to be taxpayers). It is rumored they are only asking for 40 gazillion dollars.

Uncle Sam, Can I Get a Bone Too?

Surprise Surprise! Our federal regulators said today that we Americans are unworthy to receive any help with our credit card debt. The regulators shot down a debt forgiveness plan that may have allowed creditors to offset the losses over the course of several years. Why is our government not on board with this?
If Americans are defaulting on their credit cards then the check is not in the mail! For once it seems the credit card industry is trying to help the consumer. They did not ask for billions of dollars like the auto industry has. Not yet anyway. The truth is we need to take a closer look at the credit crisis by asking the question “What do citizens do if they just can not pay?”
In the same breath…..are we really about to write a check for billions for the auto industry? Our lawmakers have practiced the policy of lumping citizens together in a few categories. You are either in a union or not in a union, rich or poor, and or slated in some type of racial category. Let’s try to ignore that the UAW is a union and they claim to help their members. I forgot …we can’t….we see them raise their union banner in pride and hope that all Americans will understand how hard it is to live off of $39.68 per hr. The credit crisis affects ALL Americans not just the unionized auto industry. The fact is that the auto industry is and has been a failing industry. The supply chain companies that piggy back off of the auto makers may want to find a new why to survive in this not so new anymore global economy.
Obama has promised change, he told us we can not continue our current energy policy. Let’s find new ways to promote efficient transportation. We do not do this by giving money to an antiquated industry that has bloated into an inefficient organization that has lost control of its accountability and has refused to give us a useful product for future use. Why Obama are you on board with this? Let the industry fall so the truly efficient companies and rise to the occasion and give us Americans a product that will fit us in the future to come. I guess our elected officials are between a rock in a hard place……do they let the UAW and GM take a major blow and lose union voter support because people are no longer financing $50,0000 SUVs made in USA……..or do they begin the process of moving away from campaign promises and not promoting real and lasting change.
I understand there are many holes in my stated opinion. However, the fact is we can not continue to bail out failing companies because we can not afford it. Many Americans can not even afford to pay attention.
The Democrats are supposed to be for the middle-class. HELP US OUT OF CREDIT CARD DEBT! DO NOT PROMOTE THE AUTO INDUSTRY AND THEIR SCANDALOUS PRACTICES! WE ALL HAVE BEEN TO A CAR DEALERSHIP…. AND IT’S SHADY….FROM THE UAW ….TO GM MANAGEMENT…..TO THE LITTLE WEASLE TRYING TO GET YOU FINANCED BY GMAC. F-EM.

Mission Statement

For some time now I have been trying to find some truth and understanding in the media of today. What I have found in the process is my own loathing disgust for the shallow reporting and half truths found on TV, Internet and the horribly one sided printed newspapers of today. In hope of turning my ill feelings into a positive outlet for both myself and anyone else willing to listen, I am trying to change the dialog within our country’s political and social conversations. Let’s discuss the real reasons behind the problems that surround us as citizens. Why not use our minds to create new ideas and promote change from within to help those around us. If we could all be useful…..I mean really useful in some way; could we not accomplish more as Americans?
Voting and talking about the various issues is not enough. We must act according to our own ideas and try to cultivate ourselves to a higher level of understanding and patience (yes patience). This begins with the stimulating of the mind. Come and take a journey with me and let’s try and discover what is within us and let’s rise above the chaos created by those who thrive on creating fear and desperation within our beloved country.
